I wouldn’t say I’m getting forgetful but along with everyone else spinning plates every day, I do like a list. A checklist of what I have to do each day keeps me feeling in control. And it’s so flippin’ satisfying when you tick things off! So when I saw these chalkboard ideas from Benjamin Moore paints, I thought, great! Another way to create lists. And how lovely will it be wiping the board clean every day and chalking up tomorrow’s tasks anew?

Keep Those Important Numbers Handy
Yes we do all keep our telephone numbers on our phones these days, but maybe not every member of the family has seen the need to store the number of the vet. In times of crisis it’s comforting to know where that number is! And having a daily reminder to phone grandma is not such a bad thing either. Right by the landline, where you can put your feet up with a cup of coffee and actually take the time to listen.

Keep That Shopping List Up to Date
This is my favourite idea. The shopping list right on the pantry door where you can write it down before you’ve even walked away. And it’s not constantly staring you in the face either. Shut the door and forget it until you’ve got your coat on and your bag in your hand. That’s the point though, that you might have to make another list to take with you. But as I said, I do like a list.

Not sure my handwriting will live up to that statement but this is a lovely idea nonetheless. Proving that chalkboard paint isn’t just for flat surfaces and is beautiful as well as practical.

Keep The Whole Family In Line
There’s no excuse for anyone to forget a deadline or a daily task with this big reminder on the back of the door. I’d maybe keep this one for the back door in case guests thought they had to walk the dog before leaving.
